Future automotive interface concept for social driving

A future automotive interface concept was created for The Division and used during a large presentation of existing work and future concepts. This project explored the level of information that was necessary for drivers and passengers during a journey. The interaction constraints were to imagine the entire dashboard and window was made from a flexible touch-screen display, and a single dial was the main physical input device.

The concept needed to show how local information could be represented and navigated, within a car experience. It questions what scale could be considered “local”; inside the vehicle, the visible surroundings, the invisible layer of social content within the area, the county, or the country.
